And what's next in Deep Work

What’s currently happening at Deep Work?

• Operations

  • Multiple teams across different Telegram channels are currently doing great work. In order to align everyone on the current mission and values of Deep Work, we are planning two branding sessions in April (4.4. and 13.4.).

  • Deep Finance has been renamed to Deep Teams and now covers the most essential set of features, including team-specific function templates.

  • Our documentation received a major clean-up and now consists of clear workflows for all functions and also shows project templates (consisting of multiple functions).

• DAO Consultancy

  • After exploring the biggest bottlenecks in DAOs at EthDenver, it seems evident that most can benefit from documentation of current work in order to reduce operational costs and minimize bottlenecks. The next step would be actual organizational (re-design).

  • After working with MakerDAO we created a first version of an organizational assessment document and two proposals to improve their governance process (1, 2). The submission will take place at the end of the month.

• Deep Work Studio

  • Charlie interviewed 20 different teams or founders, the findings suggest that web3 founders prioritize the importance of design because of the nuances and complexity of web3 product details rather than needing broad UX patterns. As a result, they are hiring product co-founders or designers as their first employees, whilst outsourcing branding.

  • Charlie's suggestion is for Deep Work Studio to adapt to these changes by exploring new markets or offering cost-effective shorter project options whilst prioritizing branding projects.

• Software

  • Development is currently on pause in order to gather more insights and solidify revenue streams to fund ongoing work.

• Awareness

  • We are considering focusing on fewer conferences and instead on more non-work related in-person or digital events. Based on our last few side events, guests appreciate the chill environment we create.

• Deep Experiences

  • If you are currently in Berlin, and like fermented foods, you can enjoy the rich flavors of home-fermented tempeh, natto, and yogurt in the Deep Experiences Berlin base (Andrej’s apartment). Reach out to Andrej if you’d like to visit.

    

    

    For the next one or two weeks, there is white bean natto, sweet marinated tempeh, L. Reuteri yogurt, keta caviar temaki and pinto bean-riesling stew.

  • We are planning our next collaborative online-cooking session in April.

• R&D

  • The Human Accelerator project has a working prototype. It’s still a very early version, but here’s how you can use it and/or participate in its design by joining this Telegram group. Our next design session is this Saturday.
