Navigating the landscape of online work
Thank you for the response on the first newsletter! Today I'll share observations and principles of our work culture.
What’s currently happening at Deep Work?
General Updates
We now have a new type of project which has been completed with our friends from Blockscience: Solution Architecture Sprint
The DAO Incubator project for the Celo Foundation has made progress. We are looking into a start of at least two teams at the beginning of October. Follow this Discord channel for more details.
Finance
Charlie has implemented a new token model with unlimited token supply. Read more about how the new token works and how they will be distributed. Deep Work also only pays in xDAI now, no USDC anymore.
Operations
We started using Deep Skills for managing all projects in the organization.
Consultancy
Since we are starting to use Deep Skills, the skill badge for consultancy weeks will be re-confirmed.
Design
Creative Directors can now see exactly how projects are scoped and how the cost/price can be customized.
Community
We’re hosting a real-life event on September 17th in Andrej’s apartment. It’s booked out!
Awareness
It was nice to see that the first newsletter arrived well. We will focus on creating more high-quality content for you!
Deep Skills
The scope of the web3 version is almost finished. The purpose of it is to create collaborative projects, save them to the personal profiles and pay the team. You can play around with it here.
Visit our bi-weekly community events to connect and catch up with others. Next one is on the 18th of September!
Where we need help:

Events we are attending:

Deep Work’s “Discovery of Work” Model
At Deep Work, we have created a sustainable ecosystem that is health-first, enjoyable and highly productive. Our way of working is different from cooperatives, online communities or typical “jobs”. We have formed our unique environment by employing a mental model that I refer to as “discovery of work”. I hope that laying out some of the foundational principles of my discovery of work model will allow you to imagine just how enjoyable work can be.
